love grows

Scarlett Johansson

Scarlett Johansson and Sean Penn have once again been spotted together in a lovey-dovey mood and it would hence seem that rumours of their relationship are true. The 50-year-old actor has a long history of complicated love affairs and a reputation for being something of a "tough guy" but he insists that Johansson is "taming" him.

After being seen together over dinner and even on a trip to Mexico, Johansson and Penn have once again fuelled rumours they are dating, though they no longer appear to be simply rumours.

This week they were spotted dining together with friends at a restaurant in Los Angeles, though from their behaviour both seemed to have also enjoyed some "private" time together, according to sources cited in X17online and People.

The age difference does not seem to come between them, despite Penn being 24 years older than the actress, and nor do their recent bad relationship experiences seem to pose an obstacle.

Penn is known to have two failed marriages behind him (from Madonna and Robin Wright) as well as a reputation for being a player, so one would be forgiven for doubting his suitability for young Johannson, who has recently come out of a divorce.

But all indications are that the actress has managed to dazzle Penn and disarm him with her charms: "Sean has a reputation for being tough but Scarlett seems to tame him. He's like a love-sick child when he's with her ," sources reveal.

Johansson, meanwhile, is apparently fascinated and "very intrigued" by Penn and tends to "smile, nod and simply listen to the stories" he tells her

LBGT

Scarlett Johansson

The Human Rights Campaign is holding its annual HRC Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday, where Scarlett Johansson will be honored with their Ally for Equality Award.

Johannson recently started to get involved with aid efforts in Haiti, but this particular award recognizes efforts made on behalf of the LGBT community, and is given to those who have dedicated their time, energy, and spirit to better the lives of LGBT people.

“Scarlett Johansson has been a tremendous friend to the LGBT community and has for many years used her celebrity and talents to advocate for our rights,” HRC Los Angeles Gala Co-Chair Andrew Arnold stated. “We appreciate and honor her support as an ally with this award.”

The gala will be held at the Ritz-Carlton/JW Marriott in Los Angeles, and will feature appearances from Jessie Tyler Ferguson of “Modern Family” and celeb trainer Jillian Michaels of the “Biggest Loser.” Typically the event draws more than 1,000 eager guests, and if you want to be part of the evening, tickets are still on sale (granted, it’ll cost you $275 for the cheap seats, and up to $400 for the VIP treatment).

mexican

Scarlett Johansson

Oh, the life of the rich and famous. What do stars do if they can't find a decent Mexican restaurant in L.A.? Jump aboard their private jet and take off to Mexico for the evening, of course!

If yesterday’s photos of Scarlett Johansson's foot in Sean Penn’s lap didn’t convince you they were a couple, their recent overnight trip to Cabo San Lucas may change your mind about this unlikely pair.

A day after the pair was spotted lunching at trendy Versailles restaurant in L.A., they boarded a jet from Van Nuys airport to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, reports People.

The pair may have barely had time to enjoy their lobster dinner but that didn't stop them from indulging in a few margaritas.

The whirl-wind getaway didn't last long however; People reports that the couple landed back in L.A. early Wednesday morning, where Johansson is currently filming We Bought a Zoo with Matt Damon
